Multiply the numerators together and the denominators together. For example: 2/3 × 3/4 = (2×3)/(3×4) = 6/12 = 1/2. No common denominator needed for multiplication.

Find the greatest common divisor (GCD) of the numerator and denominator, then divide both by it. For example, 6/12 ÷ GCD(6,12) = 6/12 ÷ 6 = 1/2.

Divide the numerator by the denominator. For example, 3/4 = 3 ÷ 4 = 0.75. Our calculator shows both the fraction result and its decimal equivalent.

To divide by a fraction, multiply by its reciprocal (flip the second fraction). For example: 1/2 ÷ 3/4 = 1/2 × 4/3 = 4/6 = 2/3.
